Pixel Dog Bicycle Playing Cards

Pixel Dog Bicycle Playing Cards

Computer, television and other electronic devices are based on the lattice principle. Every image we can see is joined by countless tiny blocks known as pixels.

Early electronic devices were limited by resolution, and each pixel was sharply defined. In the mobile Internet era, with the continuous improvement of screen resolution and smoother lines, the “pixel” has gradually become a synonym for retro.

But the pixels did not fade out of people’s sight. On the contrary, they became more and more popular. Lego building blocks, mosaic tiles, magic cube paintings, and hand-made pin beans are all extensions and applications of the pixel style.

Design

The design of the suits and numbers abandons the traditional Bicycle style and uses the pixel style as an update. It took nearly a year to try various cartoon elements. Finally, the kitty and puppy are chosen as the main elements of the design.

We redesigned all the Court cards. Each suit is designed to resemble a popular pet dog and cat.

Two special cards are included. One of them is the King of Spades, which has a funny expression on his face, inherited from the thug-style spoof we used on PIXEL V1. The other one is the self-portrait of Mike with funny dressing.
